Personal Values Worksheet

Identify the values that guide your life today and how they may shift in the next 3–5 years. Fill in the table and download a printable PDF for your records.

Goal of the exercise

  • Recognise the values that unconsciously guide your actions and give your life meaning.
  • Understand how your values have shaped past decisions.
  • Notice how values shift between life phases and which may grow in importance.
  • Reflect on where you live each value — and where you want to live it in the future.
  • Consider how to realise values you have not yet lived out.

Guiding questions

  • What is important to you in life — what could you never give up? What gives your life meaning?
  • Which goals do you still want to reach in the short, medium and long term?
  • Are there values that are held high in your family? Have you adopted them or replaced them with your own?

Your values

Add 5–10 values. Rate importance from 1 (least) to 10 (most).
